Questions parents ask

Everything you need to know before your child's first class, in one place.

Getting started

My child has never played. Can they join?

Yes. All levels are welcome. The coach watches your child in their first class and places them in a group that matches their age and level.

What ages do you coach?

We coach all ages, from 5 years old. There is no upper age limit. Sessions are split by level, with one session (J1) just for primary school children aged 5 to 12 and one (A2) where girls get priority. The coach suggests the right session after the trial.

How does the trial class work?

Book online and we confirm your slot on WhatsApp. Your child joins a real session with the group that fits their age. The trial is free: you only pay if your child joins. If it isn't for them, there's nothing to pay.

How long is each session, and how many children are in a group?

Every session runs 2 hours, on Saturdays and Sundays. Each session has no more than 30 players, with one coach for every 10 to 15 players.

Packages and payment

How much does it cost?

You buy credits, and each 2-hour session uses one. A single session is RM70. Packages: 5 credits RM315, 10 credits RM550, 14 credits RM700, 28 credits RM1400, 42 credits RM2100. From 14 credits up it works out at RM50 a session, and you get free kit: a T-shirt with 14, a T-shirt and ball with 28, and a jersey, T-shirt and ball with 42.

How long are credits valid?

5 credits: 2 months (8 weeks). 10 credits: 3 months (13 weeks). 14 credits: 4 months (17 weeks). 28 credits: 8 months (32 weeks). 42 credits: 12 months.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer (preferred) or cheque, payable to Dragons Academy. We send the account details with your booking confirmation.

Safety

Will my child appear in photos or videos?

Only with your written consent. You choose whether we may use your child's photo, and separately whether we may use their first name. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Kit and venues

What should my child bring?

Court shoes with non-marking soles, a full water bottle, and comfortable sportswear. Tie long hair back and leave jewellery at home.

Where do you train?

All sessions are at The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL), 1, Changkat Bukit Utama, Bandar Utama, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The schedule page has the map and parking notes.
