Subject To Change Wine Co

Alex’s intention is for the consumer to have a pure interpretation of the wine, as if drinking directly from the vine, but most of all he wants his California juice to be enjoyed! “Wild Child” comes from Upton Vineyards’ CCOF Petite Sirah vines and Dorn Vineyards’ CCOF Carignan both planted in the 1960s. The grapes are fermented and pressed separately, then blended together for an additional seven months in tank. The wine is alive and sassy; juicy on the palate with voluptuous ripe fruit interlaced with tannins that are upfront.

Carignan was foot crushed whole-cluster and placed on the bottom of the stainless steel tank while uncrushed whole bunch Petite Sirah was placed on top of the Carignan. The Petite Sirah was a true carbonic maceration in a stainless tank for two weeks. The wines were pressed separately https://turbo-tax.org/subject-to-change-2020/ and blended together after fermentation for seven months elevage in a 5000L fiberglass tank before being bottled unfined & unfiltered. Subject to Change Unsung Hero is a blend of 45% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne,  and 25% Viognier. The fruit was all picked on the same day.

Bonofiglio Vineyard is a seven-acre plot planted on what used to be the Russian River in the town of Hopland, lending its name to the soils known as Russian River loam. This is grower Glenn McGourtey’s passion project with his family. By day he’s the UC Cooperative Extension Plant Science Advisor for Mendocino County, which makes Glenn a wealth of knowledge. The vineyard is planted to Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.
